Our transports are 100% donation driven.

Operational costs are roughly $25,000 per month depending on the number of dogs we pull into the rescue, the number of medical cases we assist with, how many transports are that month, the costs of fuel, and any maintenance on the van. We only have 2 paid employees (our drivers) within our organization, everyone else volunteers their time to help save these unwanted dogs. 

Any time a dog or cat is transferred to a receiving rescue, Project Freedom Ride or the sending Texas rescue absorbs all the pre-transport vetting and then Project Freedom Ride absorbs all the costs of transporting to get that dog to the receiving rescue and ultimately adopted.

Project Freedom Ride has grown very organically over the years, with financial support from people who share our love and compassion for animals as well as our drive to get them to a safe destination. Donations allow us the opportunity to continue carrying out Roman's missing of placing once unwanted dogs into loving homes where they will experience more to life than being locked up in a kennel. ​
