In 2015, while his dad was stationed in San Angelo, Texas, then 4 year old Roman, learned that not all dogs make it out of shelters alive. He became a boy on a mission and was determined to give every dog more than a life in a kennel.
Originally, it started as Roman just visiting dogs in the shelters and making videos to help them find loving families in the local area. Everything changed in December of 2016 when Project Freedom Ride was born. |
THE BIRTH OF PROJECT FREEDOM RIDE
On December 6, 2016, Project Freedom Ride had its first transport of 31 dogs from Texas to Washington. Since then, Project Freedom Ride has been helping connect unwanted and abandoned dogs (and a few cats) in Texas and Georgia with rescues and families throughout the US and parts of Canada. |
Roman was born with a strong compassion for animals, especially dogs. Something that was evident very early on. When he was just 4 years old he started helping dogs in his local shelter find homes and a year later Project Freedom Ride was born. Roman was just 5 years old when Project Freedom Ride had its first transport. What started with wanting to help a few dogs find homes has now grown into Roman being instrumental in finding homes for thousands of dogs... and he's not stopping anytime soon!

Despite being a super hero to so many dogs Roman LOVES soccer. You'll find him either training or on a pitch almost daily. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and when time permits some good old Xbox gaming.
|
Roman generally loves all animals, but dogs hold a special place in his heart. He was born with 2 "older brothers" (they were actually dogs) who helped raise him well.
